Lower Merion School District in Montgomery County, PA desired a substantial upgrade for two middle school auditoriums in the summer of 2006. Clear Sound Inc. was selected as the vendor of choice for the projects.

Welsh Valley Middle School received a comprehensive upgrade of sound and lighting while Bala Cynwyd Middle school received an entire new sound system.

Each school auditorium was outfitted with an isolated ground technical service with a Faraday-shielded transformer feeding a 20 circuit audio power panel.
The sound systems are similar, in that each features 16-20 channels of Shure ULXP wireless, Rane DSP processing, Aviom digital snakes, Mackie Onyx 40 channel mixing consoles, QSC amplifiers and Community loudspeakers. Bala Cynwyd's installation required the saw cutting of the auditorium slab floor for the installation of floor boxes for microphones and AC power. Welsh Valley also received a complete 196 channel ETC lighting system with stage electrics, front of house booms, torms, stage boxes, and a comprehensive package of ETC lighting units.

The schools' theatrical teachers are delighted with the new systems as are the physical plant executives.
