Clear
Sound, Inc. was awarded the contract for
the design and installation of audio systems
in both the Gymnasium and Multi Purpose
Room. The Gymnasium audio required the versatility
of a stand alone system that could also
work in conjunction with the system installed
in the Multi Purpose room. Our design team
created a ‘dead’ spot in the
coverage at the baseline of the basketball
court to avoid any feedback when used as
a stand alone system, and based the rest
of the design around four Community R1 loudspeakers
mounted on the framing for the backboards,
out of harm’s way. These speakers
were chosen based on their resiliency to
abuse from balls and other gym equipment.
The Multi Purpose Room received a similar
treatment with CPL42 loudspeakers flanking
the stage, a mixer, and offering remote
volume control of the individual microphones
or overall system from the back of the room.
The staging area has choral performances
and was provided with microphones and stands
for this use. A single switch turns on each
system making operation user friendly. The
Charter School is pleased with their new
flexible system suiting all of their needs.
