Clear
Sound, Inc. was elected to install a new
sound system in the Tarble Gymnasium for
the primary purpose of speech reinforcement
with some music playback capabilities.
OctaSound full range multi location loudspeakers
were chosen and hung slightly in front
of each bleacher section and on either
side of the dividing curtain close to
center court. This configuration provides
coverage for the four bleacher sections
and the basketball floor, opening the
possibility for other uses of the sound
system and the Gym.
The speakers are powered by Crown CL-2
amplifiers, with a five input mixer and
a digital feedback eliminator/EQ included
in the equipment rack. The announce position
makes use of a portable rack that includes
a mixer, CD/Cassette player, and storage
for the microphone and accessories. This
interfaces with the main rack via existing
inputs.
Swarthmore College and Clear Sound, Inc.
have enjoyed working together on various
installations throughout their campus,
as well as special event support and this
installation was another successful venture. |
