Founded in 2005, the Philly Roller Girls are a skater-owned and operated all-girl roller derby league with more than 50 skaters from the Philadelphia area. Clear Sound provided audio support at their recent Warrior Cup Championship and Independence Dolls vs. DC All Stars bout at the University of Pennsylvania Class of 1923 Ice Skating Rink.

The Philly Roller Girls league is composed of three home teams; all-stars from the home teams compete on the league's travel teams. The PRG are a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, currently ranked 2nd in their league.

Ice skating rinks have multiple hard surfaces and therefore present a unique acoustical environment.  Highly reflective surfaces can make sound waves difficult to control.  Clear Sound anticipated the intelligibility challenges and carefully chose the equipment and its placement best suited for the venue style.
