Founded in 1913 to combat anti-Semitism, the Anti-Defamation League has expanded its scope to fighting all forms of bigotry and protecting civil rights. The annual Walk Against Hate is held to raise funds and to celebrate diversity through a fun-filled event. Groups and community organizations participated in the Walk itself, with sponsors donating to the League’s efforts.
When the Philadelphia Housing Authority set the date to implode the Norman Blumberg high rise apartments in order to revitalize the neighborhood, Clear Sound Inc was called upon to provide audio and video support for the event. The preceding ceremony included videos of memories throughout the 50-year history of the housing project, along with speeches from PHA’s president Kelvin Jeremiah, U. S Representative Chakah Fattah and City Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell.
The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral hosted the Special Convention to elect the 17th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia. An opening service was followed by several presentations and the election itself. For this important occasion, the Cathedral wished to share the events with as many people as possible, providing a LiveStream broadcast on their website for those who could not attend in person.
Campus Philly hosted their Annual Meeting at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. The organization, which fuels economic growth by encouraging college students to study, live and work in the Greater Philadelphia area, celebrated the launch of their Internship Matching Platform in one of the most unusual and memorable event spaces in Philadelphia, Dinosaur Hall.
The fireworks display over the Delaware River is the highlight of Philadelphia’s New Year’s Eve celebration and, for the past several years, Clear Sound has provided the audio support for this event. Viewers at Penn’s Landing and Camden’s Wiggins Park, as well as other prime locations such as Sugarhouse Casino, enjoy the fireworks synchronized with music carried on KYW Newsradio 1060.
For many years, Clear Sound has been privileged to provide sound for the Philadelphia Marathon, one of the country’s top running events. Over 20,000 runners participate each year in the different races throughout the weekend.
Clear Sound had equipment at multiple locations throughout the race, including the starting point, all sides of the Eakins Oval and Logan Circle. Mayor Michael Nutter was at the start, setting the runners on their way.
Like many other high school's, Delaware County’s Springfield High School graduation is held in the school's football field.
Every year, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure brings thousands of runners and walkers to Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway in support of breast cancer research. This national event has grown exponentially over the decades – from 5,000 attendees in 1990, to 150,000 in 2010.
The graduation ceremony at St. Joseph’s University required Clear Sound’s expertise in two areas: the specific challenges posed by commencement events, and the difficulties of providing intelligible sound inside a tent.
Our team decided to use a distributed loudspeaker system throughout the 100- x 300-foot tent, which we divided into targeted zones for optimal control and clarity. The ceremony was an unqualified success: every graduate’s name was heard by their loved ones.
