Campus Philly Annual Meeting at Academy of Natural Sciences
Campus Philly hosted their Annual Meeting at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. The organization, which fuels economic growth by encouraging college students to study, live and work in the Greater Philadelphia area, celebrated the launch of their Internship Matching Platform in one of the most unusual and memorable event spaces in Philadelphia, Dinosaur Hall.
Of course, all venues and events have their own challenges and opportunities, but the exhibition halls at the Academy are unique. Attendees were seated among dinosaur exhibits, yet needed to see and hear the presenters and videos. Clear Sound was able to overcome the sight-line challenges to create a streamlined audio and video setup where everyone could hear and see the presentations.
Also, because the museum closed very late and the event started almost immediately after closing, the entire complex system needed to be ready for the show within a very tight timeline. Careful pre-show planning and preparation, our reliable and well-maintained production inventory, and the efficiency of our full-time, tightly-knit production team allowed us to be ready to go well before show time.
Clear Sound was excited to introduce new audio equipment on this specific job, which we had extensively tested for this application in the shop. The event was also the maiden voyage for the newest additions to our audio inventory: the Yamaha QL1 and Rio Stage Rack System. Our large inventory of diverse audio visual equipment enabled us to choose just the right gear for the job in order to provide a perfect balance of pristine performance and efficiency of setup.
Meyer UPA’s and JBL fills, combined with Earthworks microphones provided pristine intelligibility from the keynote speaker, as well as Mayor Michael Nutter, who also presented at the event. 60” and 42” TVs supported by a rock-solid Transformative Engineering video distribution system allowed us to have the creative content displayed wherever the client needed. Our staging, drape, lighting and lucite lectern provided a clean and professional looking front end to the event.
Each year, all over the country, more than 300,000 people get together with friends, family and co-workers for the MS Walk sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Walks raise money for research, provide services to those affected by MS and to raise awareness. And every year, in Philadelphia, Clear Sound is there to provide audio support for the event.
The Griffin Complex at Gwynedd Mercy University is home to the Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. The Complex hosted exciting competitions and distinguished graduations, but the attendees had a hard time hearing what was happening.
With a history dating back to ancient China, the Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival meets every fall for a day of fun and competition on the Schuylkill River. Teams of paddlers, each with a steersperson and drummer, race for glory in this regional event.
Intimate, natural-sounding dialogue in a sold-out theater. Crisp, intelligible announcements in a packed stadium. Exhilarating lights and music at an outdoor summer festival. A stirring sermon reaching every corner of a cavernous church.
Sounds like the work of Clear Sound - the Delaware Valley's best full-service audio, video and lighting company.
