Vista Peru

When Vista Peru, Old City’s much-anticipated new eatery, needed a high-end audio system, they turned to Clear Sound. On Zagat’s list of Philadelphia’s 19 Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2018, this family-owned restaurant offers upscale Peruvian food in the first-level dining room, including lunch, dinner, and late-night fare. Customers enjoy authentic Peruvian dishes while small but powerful Renkus-Heinz (only about 6 inches!) provide ambient music, while upstairs they enjoy cocktails while Community D6 ceiling speakers entertain with live music.

Drexel Dialogues at the Academy of Natural Sciences

The Academy of Natural Sciences Auditorium was packed to capacity hosting the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovations debut public program on November first. Titled Drexel Dialogues: Urban Innovation in Age of Trump; the event capped their three-day Urban Innovation Summit, about change, problem solving, and how to improve the lives of Philadelphians. Clear Sound provided, audio, video, lighting, playback and, camera needs. Integrating with in house equipment, to achieve a talk show style event, with video and music interludes from a live band.

Martin Luther King Day of Service at Girard College

This year marked the 23rd anniversary of the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service. The day concluded with a free concert held in The Chapel at Girard College. The concert performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra intends to unite people through the power of music and, honor Dr. King’s life and work. Clear Sound was proud to provide the audio for this great community event.

Temple University’s Alumni Weekend-International Street Fair Carnival

Clear Sound worked with local event planners Stockton & Partners to provide production for the International Street Fair Carnival during Alumni Weekend at Temple University.  The event took place in the Liacouras Center due to the inclement weather. Events at the Carnival included student performance groups and games as well has interactive activities. Dr. Kariamu Welsh, Professor and the Department of Dance Chairperson,  is the creator of the Umfundalai dance technique, a Pan African contemporary technique that has been in existence for over thirty-three years.

Rock'n'Roll Marathon

One of the most fun, energetic marathons around, the Rock’n’Roll Marathon series visits more than 30 cities around the world, including Philadelphia in September. A series of stages line the course, and runners and spectators are treated to live music throughout. Clear Sound provides the audio equipment and mixing support for each of these stages, including Main Stage, where Big Head Todd and the Monsters performed . The Series began in San Diego in 1998, and now includes many stops in the U.S., as well as Madrid, Liverpool and Mexico City.

Delaware Valley Congenital Heart Walk

Of course, like any business, Clear Sound must watch the bottom line, but we also believe that giving back to the community is an important aspect of doing good business. Therefore, we were proud to sponsor the Congenital Heart Walk in June at lovely Wilson Farm Park in Wayne, PA. The CHW is a series of events across the country jointly benefitting The Children’s Heart Foundation and Adult Congenital Heart Association, raising funds to support both organizations in more than 30 cities throughout the year.

Hava Nagrilla Beth Hillel-Beth El

On August 27th, people gathered at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood for Hava Nagrilla, the first kosher smoke BBQ competition in the Greater Philadelphia area sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society. Hosted by The Men's Club, the event benefited the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia Mitzvah Food Project and the Narberth Community Food Bank, and included a barbeque competition with expert judges, live music, mechanical bull-riding and a pickle-eating contest.

Each year, all over the country, more than 300,000 people get together with friends, family and co-workers for the MS Walk sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Walks raise money for research, provide services to those affected by MS and to raise awareness. And every year, in Philadelphia, Clear Sound is there to provide audio support for the event.

The Griffin Complex at Gwynedd Mercy University is home to the Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. The Complex hosted exciting competitions and distinguished graduations, but the attendees had a hard time hearing what was happening.

With a history dating back to ancient China, the Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival meets every fall for a day of fun and competition on the Schuylkill River. Teams of paddlers, each with a steersperson and drummer, race for glory in this regional event.
