The Academy of Natural Sciences Auditorium was packed to capacity hosting the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovations debut public program on November first. Titled Drexel Dialogues: Urban Innovation in Age of Trump; the event capped their three-day Urban Innovation Summit, about change, problem solving, and how to improve the lives of Philadelphians. Clear Sound provided, audio, video, lighting, playback and, camera needs.
One of the most fun, energetic marathons around, the Rock’n’Roll Marathon series visits more than 30 cities around the world, including Philadelphia in September. A series of stages line the course, and runners and spectators are treated to live music throughout. Clear Sound provides the audio equipment and mixing support for each of these stages, including Main Stage, where Big Head Todd and the Monsters performed .
Of course, like any business, Clear Sound must watch the bottom line, but we also believe that giving back to the community is an important aspect of doing good business. Therefore, we were proud to sponsor the Congenital Heart Walk in June at lovely Wilson Farm Park in Wayne, PA.
On August 27th, people gathered at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood for Hava Nagrilla, the first kosher smoke BBQ competition in the Greater Philadelphia area sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society. Hosted by The Men's Club, the event benefited the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia Mitzvah Food Project and the Narberth Community Food Bank, and included a barbeque competition with expert judges, live music, mechanical bull-riding and a pickle-eating contest.
With more than 40,000 participants, Philadelphia’s iconic Broad Street Run is one of the largest timed races in the United States. Benefiting the American Cancer Society, the Run features participants running the entire 10-mile length of Broad Street, from the Northeast to the Philadelphia Navy Yard in South Philly. Clear Sound has been proud to provide audio services for this eminent event throughout its entire history.
Founded in 1913 to combat anti-Semitism, the Anti-Defamation League has expanded its scope to fighting all forms of bigotry and protecting civil rights. The annual Walk Against Hate is held to raise funds and to celebrate diversity through a fun-filled event. Groups and community organizations participated in the Walk itself, with sponsors donating to the League’s efforts.
When the Philadelphia Housing Authority set the date to implode the Norman Blumberg high rise apartments in order to revitalize the neighborhood, Clear Sound Inc was called upon to provide audio and video support for the event. The preceding ceremony included videos of memories throughout the 50-year history of the housing project, along with speeches from PHA’s president Kelvin Jeremiah, U. S Representative Chakah Fattah and City Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell.
The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral hosted the Special Convention to elect the 17th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia. An opening service was followed by several presentations and the election itself. For this important occasion, the Cathedral wished to share the events with as many people as possible, providing a LiveStream broadcast on their website for those who could not attend in person.
Campus Philly hosted their Annual Meeting at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. The organization, which fuels economic growth by encouraging college students to study, live and work in the Greater Philadelphia area, celebrated the launch of their Internship Matching Platform in one of the most unusual and memorable event spaces in Philadelphia, Dinosaur Hall.
The fireworks display over the Delaware River is the highlight of Philadelphia’s New Year’s Eve celebration and, for the past several years, Clear Sound has provided the audio support for this event. Viewers at Penn’s Landing and Camden’s Wiggins Park, as well as other prime locations such as Sugarhouse Casino, enjoy the fireworks synchronized with music carried on KYW Newsradio 1060.
