This year marked the 23rd anniversary of the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service. The day concluded with a free concert held in The Chapel at Girard College. The concert performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra intends to unite people through the power of music and, honor Dr. King’s life and work. Clear Sound was proud to provide the audio for this great community event.
Clear Sound worked with local event planners Stockton & Partners to provide production for the International Street Fair Carnival during Alumni Weekend at Temple University. The event took place in the Liacouras Center due to the inclement weather. Events at the Carnival included student performance groups and games as well has interactive activities. Dr.
On August 27th, people gathered at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood for Hava Nagrilla, the first kosher smoke BBQ competition in the Greater Philadelphia area sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society. Hosted by The Men's Club, the event benefited the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia Mitzvah Food Project and the Narberth Community Food Bank, and included a barbeque competition with expert judges, live music, mechanical bull-riding and a pickle-eating contest.
Founded in 1913 to combat anti-Semitism, the Anti-Defamation League has expanded its scope to fighting all forms of bigotry and protecting civil rights. The annual Walk Against Hate is held to raise funds and to celebrate diversity through a fun-filled event. Groups and community organizations participated in the Walk itself, with sponsors donating to the League’s efforts.
Clear Sound client Tiferet Bet Israel employed our production services at a gala concert at their Synagogue. The event, “Jewels of Jewish Music”, celebrated the completion of one year of writing the Tiferet Bet Israel community Torah. Performers included Cantor Elizabeth Shammash and Cantor Alberto Mizahi. This is the fourth year of the Music in the Sanctuary series; past performers have ranged from Israeli pop artists to esteemed string quartets.
The 104.5 Winter Jam at the Piazza at Schmidt’s featuring the bands Valencia, Bayside and Terrible Things went on this year despite the over a foot of snow in the open-air plaza during the week leading up to the event. Crews worked diligently to clear it out in time for the show to go on.

Clear Sound provided live audio support for the rock band Good Charlotte at an in-store appearance. Macy’s loyal customer base is a perfect location for brand visibility and targets niche groups of consumers, perfect for the huge fan base of Good Charlotte.
Clear Sound provided the sound system when the production Girl Talk: The Musical came to the Kimmel Center’s Innovation Studio. A 100-seat black box theater, the Innovation Studio is equipped with hardwood floors, large mirrors and ballet barres. This is an ideal space for experimental productions, special entertaining, rehearsals, and meetings. When this lively show featuring a women’s ensemble came to town, the Kimmel Center contracted Clear Sound to augment their production support.
The Dell Music Center formerly the Robin Hood Dell East has re-opened. Managed by the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Recreation, this venue was originally built in 1929 as the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra. The legendary amphitheater hired Clear Sound to provide the A/V support for an eight week summer concert series, including The George Clinton Funk Fest.
Located in Northern Liberties, the Piazza at Schmidt’s is a beautifully landscaped, 80,000 square-foot, open-air plaza with free events year-round, surrounded by three new buildings including 35 artists’ studios and boutiques and four new restaurants.
When Hatboro-Horsham School District needed to upgrade the audio system in the high school’s auditorium, they chose Clear Sound to install the new system. Milt Kunz, theater director and project coordinator, said the installation team’s “greatest skills were the ability to listen to our conversations to pick out the priorities and needs of our house.
Each year, all over the country, more than 300,000 people get together with friends, family and co-workers for the MS Walk sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Walks raise money for research, provide services to those affected by MS and to raise awareness. And every year, in Philadelphia, Clear Sound is there to provide audio support for the event.
The Griffin Complex at Gwynedd Mercy University is home to the Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. The Complex hosted exciting competitions and distinguished graduations, but the attendees had a hard time hearing what was happening.
