Each year, all over the country, more than 300,000 people get together with friends, family and co-workers for the MS Walk sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Walks raise money for research, provide services to those affected by MS and to raise awareness. And every year, in Philadelphia, Clear Sound is there to provide audio support for the event.
With a history dating back to ancient China, the Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival meets every fall for a day of fun and competition on the Schuylkill River. Teams of paddlers, each with a steersperson and drummer, race for glory in this regional event. Emphasis is on teamwork, and the sport attracts a huge variety of participants – young and old, male and female, with a wide range of fitness levels and abilities.
The American Cancer Society is a leader in the fight against cancer, and Clear Sound is proud to support their Relay for Life at the University of Pennsylvania. Our donated equipment helped raise funds for research, patient care services, education and prevention of cancer. In addition, this event demonstrates that fundraising can be fun, too!
The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral hosted the Special Convention to elect the 17th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia. An opening service was followed by several presentations and the election itself. For this important occasion, the Cathedral wished to share the events with as many people as possible, providing a LiveStream broadcast on their website for those who could not attend in person.
When the Philadelphia Housing Authority set the date to implode the Norman Blumberg high rise apartments in order to revitalize the neighborhood, Clear Sound Inc was called upon to provide audio and video support for the event. The preceding ceremony included videos of memories throughout the 50-year history of the housing project, along with speeches from PHA’s president Kelvin Jeremiah, U. S Representative Chakah Fattah and City Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell.
For many years, Clear Sound has been privileged to provide sound for the Philadelphia Marathon, one of the country’s top running events. Over 20,000 runners participate each year in the different races throughout the weekend.
Clear Sound had equipment at multiple locations throughout the race, including the starting point, all sides of the Eakins Oval and Logan Circle. Mayor Michael Nutter was at the start, setting the runners on their way.
Every year, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure brings thousands of runners and walkers to Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway in support of breast cancer research. This national event has grown exponentially over the decades – from 5,000 attendees in 1990, to 150,000 in 2010.
The Academy of Natural Sciences Auditorium was packed to capacity hosting the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovations debut public program on November first. Titled Drexel Dialogues: Urban Innovation in Age of Trump; the event capped their three-day Urban Innovation Summit, about change, problem solving, and how to improve the lives of Philadelphians. Clear Sound provided, audio, video, lighting, playback and, camera needs.
This year marked the 23rd anniversary of the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service. The day concluded with a free concert held in The Chapel at Girard College. The concert performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra intends to unite people through the power of music and, honor Dr. King’s life and work. Clear Sound was proud to provide the audio for this great community event.
Clear Sound worked with local event planners Stockton & Partners to provide production for the International Street Fair Carnival during Alumni Weekend at Temple University. The event took place in the Liacouras Center due to the inclement weather. Events at the Carnival included student performance groups and games as well has interactive activities. Dr.
The Griffin Complex at Gwynedd Mercy University is home to the Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. The Complex hosted exciting competitions and distinguished graduations, but the attendees had a hard time hearing what was happening.
