This year marked the 23rd anniversary of the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service. The day concluded with a free concert held in The Chapel at Girard College. The concert performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra intends to unite people through the power of music and, honor Dr. King’s life and work. Clear Sound was proud to provide the audio for this great community event.

One of the most fun, energetic marathons around, the Rock’n’Roll Marathon series visits more than 30 cities around the world, including Philadelphia in September. A series of stages line the course, and runners and spectators are treated to live music throughout. Clear Sound provides the audio equipment and mixing support for each of these stages, including Main Stage, where Big Head Todd and the Monsters performed .

Of course, like any business, Clear Sound must watch the bottom line, but we also believe that giving back to the community is an important aspect of doing good business. Therefore, we were proud to sponsor the Congenital Heart Walk in June at lovely Wilson Farm Park in Wayne, PA.

On August 27th, people gathered at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood for Hava Nagrilla, the first kosher smoke BBQ competition in the Greater Philadelphia area sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society. Hosted by The Men's Club, the event benefited the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia Mitzvah Food Project and the Narberth Community Food Bank, and included a barbeque competition with expert judges, live music, mechanical bull-riding and a pickle-eating contest.

When the Philadelphia Housing Authority set the date to implode the Norman Blumberg high rise apartments in order to revitalize the neighborhood, Clear Sound Inc was called upon to provide audio and video support for the event. The preceding ceremony included videos of memories throughout the 50-year history of the housing project, along with speeches from PHA’s president Kelvin Jeremiah, U. S Representative Chakah Fattah and City Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell.

The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral hosted the Special Convention to elect the 17th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia. An opening service was followed by several presentations and the election itself. For this important occasion, the Cathedral wished to share the events with as many people as possible, providing a LiveStream broadcast on their website for those who could not attend in person.

The fireworks display over the Delaware River is the highlight of Philadelphia’s New Year’s Eve celebration and, for the past several years, Clear Sound has provided the audio support for this event. Viewers at Penn’s Landing and Camden’s Wiggins Park, as well as other prime locations such as Sugarhouse Casino, enjoy the fireworks synchronized with music carried on KYW Newsradio 1060.

Like many other high school's, Delaware County’s Springfield High School graduation is held in the school's football field.

The graduation ceremony at St. Joseph’s University required Clear Sound’s expertise in two areas:  the specific challenges posed by commencement events, and the difficulties of providing intelligible sound inside a tent.
Our team decided to use a distributed loudspeaker system throughout the 100- x 300-foot tent, which we divided into targeted zones for optimal control and clarity.  The ceremony was an unqualified success: every graduate’s name was heard by their loved ones.

Clear Sound is very proud to be a part of the Philadelphia Orchestra's Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert at Girard College

Intimate, natural-sounding dialogue in a sold-out theater. Crisp, intelligible announcements in a packed stadium. Exhilarating lights and music at an outdoor summer festival. A stirring sermon reaching every corner of a cavernous church.

Sounds like the work of Clear Sound - the Delaware Valley's best full-service audio, video and lighting company.
