Marie Curie’s Radiant Ball Lighting & Sound

Clear Sound provided lighting and sound production for the Mutter Museum’s Radiant Ball to celebrate the legend, Marie Curie.

The Radiant Ball, a luminous celebration that honors Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and one of the most important figures in the history of medicine.

Folks turned out, some in glam outfits, others in plain clothes to enjoy the special evening, check out rarely-seen collection items, and dance to jazz-age grooves by Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society in the Mutter Museum’s historic building.

When Marie Curie visited the U.S. for the first time in 1921, she visited The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, home of the Mütter Museum and Historical Medical Library, to discuss the use of radium in her work and present her piezo-electric measurement device.

There was lite bites and cocktails for all and a great live performance by Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society on the stage.
